Lorenzo Masetti He is enjoying his time as one of the two Italian men within the top-10 best of the ATP ranking (this is the first time it ever happened), and on Friday in Rome he won his first match as a Top-10 player.
Musetti, who defeated Finland Otto virtanen 6-3, 6-2 in 86 minutes, will face America Nakashima in the third round. The Italian is now 18-4 since the beginning of his candidacy at the Bronze Affairs Olympic Medal in Paris last July.
A finalist in Monte-Carlo and a semifinalist in Madrid, Masetti, hopes to achieve beyond his best career performance in Foro Italy-a round of 16 appearances in 2023.

Masetti is one of the two Italian men who reached the third round today. Wild Card Francesco Passaro upset Grigor Dimitrov 7-5 6-3 to reach the third round for the second year in a row.
Four other Italian men, including Jannik Sinner High and Matteo Berrettini, will be in the second round of Saturday in Rome.
