Players’ rankings as blues win comfortably in the first stage of the semifinal

Chelsea is virtually assured of a place in his first European final since he won the Champions League in 2021, after demolishing the Sweden Djurgarden in the conference league.

Only a shock comeback on the return of Stamford Bridge next Thursday night would see Chelsea did not reach the final of this season in Wroclaw.

Enzo Maresca scored twice in the middle of the Swedish capital, Jadon Sancho obtaining the ball rolling with 13 minutes on the clock and the Noni Madueke building in this advantage before the interval.

Chelsea’s chief made four changes in the half, eager not to overcome his players when there is still much to play the rest of the Premier League season. Nicolas Jackson was among those who introduced himself and played his role in scoring twice in quick succession.

Djurgarden retired through Isak Alemayehu Mulugeta in the middle of the second half, almost immediately after going down 4-0. But the odds of being more than little consoles, even in the half phase of the general tie, are low.
