“Crawford must warm up at 160”: Boots Ennis emphasizes the size and inactivity of the size as major obstacles for Terence against Canelo in Potential September Collection

Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis says Terence Crawford should take a ‘warm -up fight at 160’ so that he can stay sharp and get a feeling for what it is like to be hit by larger fighters to prepare him for his fight against the United Super Middell Middelweight Champion Canelo Alvarez in September.

2. The wallet would not be huge

If he moved to 160 or 168 for his warm -up, he would probably want to fight against a scrub rather than a talented top 15 contender.

Turki probably won’t pay Crawford the kind of dough he got for the Madrimov and Spence fights. Therefore, he would rather put on the shelf, not take risks, and wait for the massive windfall against Alvarez. This is the problem with fighters. Once spoiled, you can’t get them in the ring without blowing Mega millions under their snoots.

Crawford’s chances

“You have to lean to Canelo because he has been on that weight for a long time. He played out big guys. Crawford is a little smaller. Canelo really isn’t a 168 pound. He must be at 160, and he hurt these guys. He dropped these guys.

“These guys are much bigger than him, come fighting night. I know it for sure. They’re about 200 pounds, and he lets the guys fall like that. It’s going to be a wonderful fight. The fans want to see it, so be it,” Ennis said.
