Self -serving support? Devin Haney rejoices over George Kambosos Jr. Before important battle, with possible trilogy threatening as Haney’s upcoming match Falters

Devin Haney has his former enemy George Kambosos jr. Encouraged on X today and encouraged him before his fight against the young gun, Jake Wyllie, on Saturday, March 22, with fans who could watch the event Live on dazn At 04:00 ET, 01:00 pt, 08:00 GMT or 19:00 AEDT.

The event takes place in the Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, in Australia. Ringwalks starts at about 07:05 hours for the Kambosos against Wyllie Main Event.

It’s a must-win battle for Kambosos, 31, who needs a win to get a world title against IBF Light Welterweight Champion Richardson Hitchins in New York in June. It is the baby promoter Eddie Hearn’s baby he has in the planning stages. However, Hearn says his plan B is to use Wyllie as the opponent of Hitchins if he overcomes on Saturday.

Ticket sales problems?

Kambosos needs all the encouragement he can get, and Saturday’s fight against the replacement opponent Wyllie (16-1, 15 COs) with a record of 1-3 in his last four battles. It is alleged that ticket sales are poor for the event, while Australian fans arrive their noses and watch Kambosos fight against the few well-known 24-year-old Wyllie.

One cannot help but think that it is a Self -serving movement by Haney By motivating Kambosos with the hope of the two meetings in a trilogy in Australia as things fall apart for Devin in his 2nd battle against Jose Ramirez. If Haney loses that fight, he will need Kambosos.

In fact, it is doubtful that it would matter if it was the highly popular Ryan Garcia as the opponent for ‘the Emperor Kambosos. Aussie fans apparently lost interest in viewing Kambosos’ battles, which the promoter Eddie Hearn did not take note of it in advance. If he knew how gloomy things were for Kambosos, he would be able to put a must-watch talent in the lead role to drive ticket sales in Sydney.

Haney deprived the then IBF, WBA and WBO lightweight champion Kambosos before a massive crowd of 41.129 fans on June 5, 2022 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. Kambosos was popular in Australia at the time, and had a victory over Theofimo Lopez and worshiped his Aussie fans.
