Thomas Detry sailed to WM Phoenix Open last month, though this may be an underestimation.

Detry joined Podcast Subpar of Golf Last week to discuss the victory, and he explained how Phoenix’s stop was his fifth tour in six weeks. He was tired, and while he was in Pebble Beach a week before he was debating the WM Phoenix Open.
Eventually, with everything already reserved for Phoenix, he decided to play. But he removed on Monday and reached the verse at 4pm on Tuesday, immediately began the shooting and was again questioning his decision.

“I was all over the country,” Detry said. “I called my coach, who was in Riyadh with (Adrian) Meronk in Liv, it was 3am for him. He wakes up, looks at my shake, and it was all over the place.

“Really stupid, but I tend to be a tall and slightly behind, and everything I tried to do was be both short and wide,” Detry said, imitating the movement on the camera. “Just hold my left arm straight and be as wide as possible (when you turn the club). That’s all I was thinking and I was just hitting it.”
Detry opened with a 66 and followed with rounds 64, 65, 65 to win.
“The last two weeks (before Phoenix) I was in good shape, but not really on top of my game,” he said. “I just found something small and I was sure all week.”
Detry was 53th in Genesis and has lost his last two cuts, though thanks to his victory he is still 9th ​​in the ranking of FedEx Cup.
