A foot injury sidelined Bellingham on August 18 and he was expected to miss more than a month of action with a problem serious enough to keep him out of the England squad for the games of September against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

Few had expected to see Bellingham back in action this month, however, according to The Athleticthe 21-year-old is lined up to make the trip to Real Sociedad on September 14.

Not only could Bellingham travel, but manager Carlo Ancelotti is considering giving him minutes as he looks to combat an injury crisis that has worsened during the international break.

Eduardo Camavinga remains on the sidelines, while Dani Ceballos is expected to miss around two months with an ankle injury. Aurelien Tchouameni withdrew from the French national team earlier this week after detecting a problem, as does left-back Ferland Mendy.

The injury problems didn’t stop there. central defense Eder Militao was released from Brazil’s setup after complaining of a thigh problem, before news began to surface of a two-week absence for 19-year-old defender Jacobo Ramon. Coupled with David Alaba’s long-term injury, Ancelotti now has a major problem at centre-back.

Although these growing problems could see Ancelotti recall Bellingham early AS they still expect the midfielder to miss another three weeks.

Madrid they are under pressure after a lackluster start to the campaign that has yielded just eight points from four games. Although they may be second in the league standings, they have already fallen four points behind Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
