George Kambosos Jr. v Daud Yordan, March 22 in Sydney, Australia

When George Kambosos Jnr walks through the ropes this Saturday in Sydney, he will know that he will have to deliver a tremendous performance in the ring, and he will have to be at his ferocious best to conquer the grinned Indonesian puncher Daud Yordan. Anything less and it’s over.

Over the years, Kambosos has taken the hard road and he knows a thing or two of pressure and fighting through adversity.

At thirty-seven, Yordan has been fighting for about twenty years and he alleviates his opponents of their senses in a spectacular way about Asia and beyond since he was a teenager. His only losses were to the Englishman, Anthony Crolla on points in 2018, a knockout loss in the twelfth round to the South African, Simpiwe Vetyeka, Chris John on points in 2011, Celestino Caballero at points in 2010, and a decision without competition in 2009 to Robert Guerrero.

The man known as ‘cino’ is difficult as nails and he can fight, and if he walks through the ropes in Sydney, he will know that a right hand will get a right hand a shot at a world title and with it the life -changing money.

While Yordan was on a five -match knockout battle at Super Lightweight and fought all over Asia, Kambosos Jnr mixed it with the best in the world.

Since beating Theofimo Lopez to become the Unified Champion, Kambosos has welcomed the challenge to resist Devin Haney twice in 2022 and Vasyl Lomachenko in 2024. He was beaten and knocked out, but he fought with an incredible self -belief that made him the fighter.

On paper, this battle is a match of a proud, twittered counterpunder Va Teak Tough, Hardnorn Hard Punching Fighter, with both knowing that loss cannot be an option. For the fans attending it, it can be the perfect storm, a war war with both fighters who are no longer, until they are no longer.

In terms of height and reach, there is not much in it. Kambosos Jnr comes in weight, so he may be a little slower with a little more of a doll in his push. Yordan goes on for the weight, but he does have power. If he still has the legs, he should not be underestimated and should be considered a dangerous man every three minutes. Kambosos Jnr is not considered a puncher of note, so his strategy is to fight at the pace, and go to the body and take away the bones of the veteran and hit him with bumps until he is under pressure. Yordan was the distance, but it was long ago. Kambosos is a distance fighter and it must be the difference in the fight.

Kambosos jnr, points win
