The bottom map for WBC TUs-Time Lightweight Champion William Zepeda against Tevin Farmer 2 Rematch On March 29, WBA/WBO minimumweight champion Oscar Collazo (11-0, 8 COs) will defend against Edwin Cano (13-2-1, 4 food) at the Poliforum Juárez in Cancún, Mexico. The event will be shown Live on dazn.
Callazo-cano will make it interesting, but the fight will not attract many fans for this card. Cano cannot punch and will be for Collazo food to destroy early. Golden Boy should add a much better fight if it adds to the Zepeda Farmer 2 card to have fans watch on March 29.
Farmer 2: Why?
The decision to reinstate Zepeda (32-0, 27) with former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Farmer (33-7-1, 8 COs) in a rematch must guess second because they fought on November 16 last year. Zepeda beat Farmer with a 10-round decision in a fight that was not as competitive if you consider in all the body shots that William landed. The scores were 95-94, 95-94 for Zepeda and 95-94 for farmer.
Farmer (34) wilted some of the eighth round, and sometimes doubled from pushing to the bread basket of Zepeda. Why on earth did the judges record it so close? One of them even won Boer, who was crazy because he went to the city center.
If and when Zepeda wins this battle on March 29, Golden Boy has to tackle him and not waste time with a third fight. With all the many contenders to Zepeda, he should not be stuck on the rematch cycle against his complaining enemies, as Farmer did here.
No matter how one -sided Zepeda defeats him, the farmer is likely to muddy the water By saying that he earned victory. He has no choice but to make it look controversial, because if he admits he lost, his chances of getting a third fight are in the drain.
Stevenson is waiting
WBC Lightweight Champion Shakur Stevenson And his promoter Eddie Hearn wants to fight the next battle with Zepeda. It would be a good fight for Golden Boy to set up. Shakur had trouble beating the electrician Josh Padley in his last fight on February 22. Just imagine what Zepeda will do to him. Shakur is another clover. If he loses or looks bad against Zepeda, he will probably blame it on his glasses.
