Mehidi Hasan wins hearts by dedicating his Miraz award to this special cause

In an interview after the game, Mehidi expressed his gratitude for the award and acknowledged the difficulties of playing with the number 8. He also highlighted the pleasant partnership he has formed with Litton and expressed his pride in the five-goal haul.

“First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me this opportunity and this is my first award outside my home, so I am very happy. Batting at number 8 is tough but I enjoyed batting with Litton Das. Yes, picking five wickets for me is a really brilliant achievement and I want to do better. I would like to thank my support team for always supporting me and I enjoyed training at home.” Mehidi said in an interview after the game.

Mehidi dedicated the award to the family of a rickshaw driver who lost his life during the recent riots in Bangladesh.

“I would like to dedicate to my Bangladeshi supporters who I was awarded as player of the series. As we know in Bangladesh, we had a difficult time because the rickshaw puller lost his life, so I would like to dedicate this award to his family.” he added.

With a target of 185 runs to win, Bangladesh’s chase was relatively comfortable and sealed a historic series victory. This victory not only marked a significant milestone for Bangladesh cricket but also ended Pakistan’s hopes of reaching the top. World Test Championship (WTC) final.
