Michael Jackson had cameras directed for all his life. Even the son of JFK names. Tiger WoodsThe same thing. It is the only life Woods has ever known, so he has nothing to compare it. But it can’t be an easy way to live. The cameras find it.
People want to know why he is so guarded. You can also ask, how is it not MORE saved? But Woods shows himself, now and again, without even realizing it. Event Torrey the next day. Then happened to the White House. The cameras captured the two moments, of course.
Rory Mcilroy, a half decades ago, said that for all his admiration for Woods, he will never I want his life. Mcilroy was sitting only in a closet room at the key MEDINA When he said. No surrounding holders, without security people. Just Rory, hanging one night on Sunday after a long week. I don’t remember the last time I saw Tiger alone. In the 90s.
The White House moment – maybe you’ve seen Video. Woods and Donald Trump appeared together, and dozens of cell phones went to the north with extended wings, such as periscopes in the sea. President Trump asked Woods if he would like to come to the podium and say a few words. Woods shook his head to the east and west and shook hands as high glass wipes – No-no. A brief appearance, I’m daring, in his inner eldrick.

Millions of us are amazed by the athletic greatness of Woods, and by Woods Extension. He has made himself available to reporters hundreds of times and he deposits a pearl now and again, but not often. So we undermine the material available. Human beings are a curious species. Rory Mcilroy is a curious person. (All serious readers are curious.) If you are curious for tiger, you cannot enjoy these passing scenes when the uncontrolled tiger suddenly makes an unmarried appearance.
This has been going on for 40 years now, these small un controlled moments where Woods shows his character in unexpected ways, in unexpected periods. The falling slope of the Woods head when President Trump and the results of others began to cheer Ti-ger, ti-ger. The corner just said it all: I don’t need or want this attention. Although he was wearing his presidential medal of honor around his neck in his native room, given to him after the masters of 2019, during Trump I. Neck dress, I do not know – it seemed to be Tiger’s choice.
Woods and President Trump were appearing at a month of black history in the White House eastern room. But the reason Woods went to the White House was to meet President Trump (and others) at the Oval Office for Discuss the PGA Tour-Liv Golf Block.
Just a quick aside throughout the Tour-Tour clutter, if there is someone left to care: my assumption is that, after all, both sides will do what MBS wants them to do, and because MBS You’re playing the long game here, he is not in a hurry to do anything. Time is on his side because he has money to overcome everyone and buy anything. If this latest half-unusual stake in professional golf has shown anything, is that the ability of money to cause blindness has never been more powerful.
Of course, none of this is the true Woods business. More than a hobby, something to keep it busy. (It’s a untrue rumor that Netflix has a series of mocking works called TensitShowing Jon Hamm in a role of Rex Tillerson type, an American oil man and the club who advises an MBS type in strange issues, Arcane Golf, how could you appear.) You suspect Woods would trade these white houses with High status and Bahamian Gets-Togeters for four days of good walking and placing it in Augusta come in April. All he wanted to be ever was a good golf player.
Some of those TGL moments, they are difficult to see. Woods making his first entry into the arena in the Sophie arena at Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. As, when Tiger Woods would leave on his equipment, More bump and smile his way to a box of all meaning? Nevr-ah. But there was, a smile for the camera.
I’ve seen your photo:
Your name in the lights on it.
This is your big debut –
Likes as a realized dream.
I can hear ear Noise on his rough abdomen relax from here, as you learn how much tiger will do, if TGL sometimes becomes a shade of WWE.
But also had – last year, this year, ANY Year – beautiful and unexpected moments in which Tiger has shown a side of himself, he never intended to show, such natural moments that he probably forgot that he had cameras there too. When Bernhard Langer threw a kick for a Win at Play off Baba-Bir Above Tiger and Charlie in PNC last year, that was beautiful. The better I can say, Woods said Langer, “Bernhard? You are the best. You are the best, the type. Awesome.” You are never too old to learn grace. As a young man, even in Tiger’s victory he was cute by Grace. But now he is almost 50 years old, and second place actually does not suck.
I asked Langer (with text) if he could remember the correct words of Woods. He couldn’t. He said, “Tiger and Charlie were great to play with him.” This is probably one of the most significant things a professional can say about another professional, and a golf parent can tell a golf child of another parent.
Three more moments that simply appeared, without warning. Woods at the Dinner of the American Golf Writers Association at Suburban Augusta in 2019, randomly doing in my friend Bob Harig. Woods in his Golf of Fame Golf induction in 2020, addressing one million people, but in fact only two: his mother, in the front row and his late father. Woods after losing the cut in the old course in the ’22 summer, hanging, sharp, in pain, knowing that he is unlikely to ever oppose an open in the city of Gray Auld again.
Here is another, Observed by my colleague Sean Zak: Tiger at the first TGL event, seeing Ludwig Aberg hitting the balls. Just seeing, and not saying one thing. Seeing and admiring with his arms folded over his chest. Small moments, randomly caught. They are nothing – or are everything?
Let me leave you with this. This is one of my favorites, sometimes. He came on Sunday evening at Tiger’s tournament, held this year not on Riviera but in Torrey Pines. Woods was available, about two weeks after his mother’s death. As a winner, you get a trophy. You get a car. You get a pile of money. And you get to talk to Tiger Woods, the host host, with the cameras rolling and snapped. As happened, Ludwig was the winner of the origin.
“Is this one of your favorite tour stops?” Aberg asked Woods. He is 25 years old. It was a great question. All with cameras that are noisy.
“Isa,” said Woods, Pro for Pro. “I won seven buicks here. One we open. A small world, when it was once played here.” He scored all this slowly, his body in character, for photographers, but not his mind. “Long time. Or not? “A big smile. “First he went down here, when he was the old Andy Williams. I was six years old, seeing the boys playing. “
Seeing the boys playing. Seeing Andy Bean hit a 1-Hekuri. Andy Williams with his public charm, friend in hand. Andy North with that mini-Golf putter.
Tiger Woods was giving Lore Ludwig Aberg. A gift for a gift cannot be bought.
Two fakes, with 10 Torrey titles between them, were half lost in this honor. Woods is not boasting. He was giving Aberg an honest accounting of greatness, his and PGA Tour’s.
You can say that Aberg got all things from what he said, “This is so delightful.” It really is.
Woods is a great figure in the game. He and Jack Nicklaus are two living figures, wonderful in men’s play. Aberg was receiving a public-private tutorial from one of them. That’s so cute.
The Pro game is fun to extend beyond money. Liv Golf will never get it. These private investors, thinking they will make money from PGA Tour, will never get it. TGL supporters will never get it. These small stolen moments, they have nothing to do with money. If they were going to do it, we wouldn’t talk about them.
Tiger was watching Ludwig. Tiger is still long, everything after all those surgeries, but this child is a giant. But Woods was grateful for the possibility his parents had given him, and swelling proudly of what he had done with him. Fifteen diplomas, and 67 other tournaments. Eighty -two big, bold moments. You can see those who come, to varying degrees. That moment with Tiger and Ludwig, that private-public comment, caught everyone by surprise. A camera was there, of course, to record it for the offspring.
