It was assumed that the Arsenal offered the signature of The Spanish striker Alvaro Morata This January, just for the Gunners to decide not to pursue the movement.
Morata ended up leaving AC Milan for a loans transfer to Galatasaray, and it seems that Mikel Arteta and his coach had some doubts about this possible agreement.

Morata may have given Arsenal something a little different ahead, which may have been useful with Gabriel Jesus injured, but generally it seems that the giants of northern London felt that it would not be appropriate.

The fact that Morata has ended up going to Turkey is, surely, evidence that no one else at a level similar to the arsenal wanted him right now.
The International Spain has not made much note in Milan this season and it may make sense for Arsenal to wait until the summer to contribute the kind of talent they want.
It is a great question, however, that Hapertz continues for the rest of this season after playing so much football.
The German International seems unlikely to rest at any time now that Jesus is wounded, so it is clearly a bit of a gambling and Co. Trust him a lot.
