WBC-TUs-Time 105-pound belt holder David Banavidez took a lot of punishment, but was the victory, and had an ordinary ‘light heavyweight champion, David Morrell, a unanimous 12 round decision in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas . The victory for Benavidez (30-0, 24 COs) makes him the WBC compulsory to champion Artur Betterur Betterur.

I scored it 8-4 for Morrell. He won eight rounds and dropped Benavidez. It’s not a shock that Benavidez won a win. He is very popular in Las Vegas, but he has not done enough to win in the right sense if we are fair.
Knockdown and punishment
Banavidez was beaten by a flashy right hook by Morrell in the 11th round. At the end of the round, however, the referee penalized Morrell because he hit the clock. It was a strange movement by the ref that raised some eyebrows of fans.
As most box fans would expect, Morrell landed the harder, cleaner shots all night and cut Benavidez’s head again and again in every round. As in his debut on 175 in June last year, benavidez showed zero power and he had to focus on volume punch to make up for it. Yet Morrell’s power shots were more than enough for him to win rounds.
Tribes and referee
What was hilarious was how Benavidez Trunks practically went up to his nipples, and the referee did not order him to pull them down to his waist level where they should have been. I couldn’t believe it. It’s like how Tyson Fury carries his tree trunks and gets away with it.
Such things had to be addressed during the fight, rather than Benavidez the advantage. We saw that he was injured in his previous battle against Oleksandr Gvozdyk to the bread basket.
Of course, that would be the area where Miorrell would have targeted. But how can he throw at Benvidez’s body without beating him low? If Benavidez fights the next time against Artur Betterbiev, the four -champion must warn the referee to do his work.
