Arya started off with a strong shot over long-on as he came down the pitch with confidence. On the second delivery, Arya executed a textbook left-handed shot, gracefully going down on one knee and slotting the ball through deep mid-wicket. The third ball met a similar fate, flying long on and the crowd rose to their feet, fully aware that something special was about to happen. In the style of the century: Arya and Ayush Badoni’s partnership
Arya’s heroics did not end with her record breaking. He continued his batting with relentless aggression, completed his century in style and dismantled the opposition bowling attack. His efforts were well complemented by the South Delhi skipper. Ayush BadoniHe also demonstrated his power hitting ability by reaching his century off just 39 balls. Together, they turned the game into a spectacle of batting prowess, with sixes raining down from both ends of the pitch.
South Delhi Superstars set a mammoth target
South Delhi posted a total of 308/5 in 20 overs against North Delhi. Arya played a sensational knock of 120 off just 50 balls with 10 fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 240.00. Ayush Badoni also scored 165 to 55 and led the team to a big score. The team lost their first wicket early Sarthak Ray departs after just 11 runs. However, the middle order kept the momentum going and left North Delhi with a daunting chase ahead.
North Delhi Strikers face an uphill battle
North Delhi’s bowlers struggled to contain the attack of South Delhi Superstars.
