HomeBoxing Boxing Rolando “Rolly” Romero takes on Ryan Garcia in May after Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz withdraws By NetSPORT January 21, 2025 0 117 FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp By Boxing News – 21/01/2025 – Commentary Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero was given the May 2nd fight against Ryan Garcia after Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz chose not to take it due to his previously scheduled fight next month. This is Rolly’s chance to pull off an upset of the ring-rusty Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) on Turki Al-Sheikh’s card at Times Square in New York. Rolly walks in Cruz had a fight scheduled against Angel Fierro on February 1st and did not want to negotiate another fight until after his bout. Fans were hoping to see Ryan and Pitbull fight because it would have been much more interesting than seeing Rolly get the match. It is unclear if there were other fighters available who could have stepped in. The 140-lb division has many fighters with more talent than Rolly, and it would have been great for fans to see someone else. Former WBA light welterweight champion Rolly (16-2, 13 KOs) was knocked out by Pitbull Cruz in the eighth round on March 30 last year. It was a surprisingly one-sided battle. On the May 2 card, Devin Haney will face Jose Ramirez, and heavyweight Martin Bakole fights Efe Ajagba. Also, per relevant source – this card featuring Garcia-Rolly & Haney-Ramirez is slated for May 2nd (a Friday night). #box https://t.co/dPZGmJgiv0 — Dan Rafael (@DanRafael1) January 21, 2025 Click here to subscribe to our FREE newsletter Related news: Boxing News 24 » Rolando “Rolly” Romero takes on Ryan Garcia in May after Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz withdrew Last updated on 21/01/2025 Source link Share FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp Previous articleTottenham make official announcement about the striker with 23 goalsNext articleIPL 2025: Watch – Rishabh Pant takes brutal dig at KL Rahul after becoming LSG captain NetSPORThttps://netblogsport.com Related Articles Cricket Among the 3 Hindu, Shubman Gill decided to hardly carry the test inheritance of Virat Kohlin Boxing Fury flaunts Klitschko win while avoiding current reality Tennis Bryan Brothers Headline Delray Beach Legends LEAVE A REPLY Cancel reply Comment: Please enter your comment!
