At the American Express halfway point, a veteran Tour player and four-time winner holds the top spot on the leaderboard alongside a player still hoping to win his first Tour title.
Charlie Hoffman and Rico Hoey are 16-under through two rounds and hold a one-stroke lead over their three nearest competitors – a group that includes Mark Hubbard, Sepp Straka and Justin Lower.
Hoffman hasn’t won on Tour since the 2016 Valero Texas Open, while Hoey’s best finish was runner-up at last year’s ISCO Championship.
You can watch Saturday’s third round of the American Express on TV via the Golf Channel, which will air beginning at 4:00 PM ET.
