After the game, Carragher said Liverpool should have won, but the need was clear for a new defender. Ibrahima Konate was hooked on 66 minutes as he fully recovers, and the former Reds man believes additions must be made to ensure the Premier League title is theirs.

There haven’t been too many links but a report from Spanish outlet AS said Liverpool are set to compete with Newcastle United in the race to sign Sevilla defender Loic Bade.
The French centre-back has become a potential target for Premier League clubs, with Sevilla valuing him at around £21million.
Sevilla’s financial struggles, which include a £70m loss last year, have put pressure on them to sell players to comply with La Liga financial regulations. Bade is a key asset and is seen as one of the players capable of generating significant revenue for the club.
