On Saturday, January 11, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian National Cricket Team’s strong squad for the upcoming T20I series against the England National Cricket Team.
The England National Cricket Team will tour India for a long white-ball series consisting of five T20Is and three ODIs from January to February.
India vs England to Play Matches at 8 Different Venues
The India 2025 tour of England will begin with the T20I series and the first match will be played at the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday, January 22.
The next two matches will then be played on Saturday, January 25 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and on Tuesday, January 28 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
The fourth T20I match will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday, January 31, while the fifth and final match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, February 2.
After that, the ODI series between the Three Lions and The Men In Blue will begin. The series opener will be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, February 6, while the second ODI will be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday, February 9.
The India 2025 tour of England will conclude with the third and final ODI on Wednesday, February 12, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The home team, which will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, returns with Mohammad Shami
Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team against “Three Lions”. In the batting department, Suryakumar will be supported by Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh among others. Rishabh Pant has reportedly been ruled out of the T20Is, while Dhruv Jurel has been picked.
The bowling department will be headed by Mohammad Shami, who is back after returning to India from November 2023. Also in the bowling department are left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh and spinner Varun Chakravarthy. has done exceptional work for the side in recent times.
The trio of senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar and vice-captain Axar Patel will provide the much-needed balance to the team. It should be noted that along with Mohammad Siraj, pace leader Jasprit Bumrah was rested for the T20I series.
Meanwhile, the series against the Jos Buttler-led side will be India’s first T20I assignment since their stunning win over the Proteas in South Africa in November 2024. The Men in Blue put up a brilliant performance in the four-match T20I series against the South African National Cricket team. The team won 3-1.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led team started the series with a 61-run win and then ended their tour with a 135-run win to end their tour on a high. They were looking forward to put up a similar performance against England and maintain their incredible T20I record.
