Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora: Fight on March 29 in Las Vegas

WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will fight Errol Spence, tentatively scheduled for March 29 in Las Vegas. The fight is still being negotiated.

Former unified welterweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will have been inactive for 20 months when his fight with ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) takes place.

Errol turns 35 on March 3. The fight is expected to be shown on PBC on Prime Video PPV. No word yet on the pay-per-view price, but it will likely be close to the $80 range.

@FerSabatiniBox and @DanRafael1 broke the news about the Fundora vs. Spence fight on March 29th.

Errol’s recent setbacks

Spence is coming off a ninth round knockout loss to Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on July 29, 2023. Errol took a lot of punishment in that fight and was never competitive. Physically, he didn’t look like the fighter he was in 2018 and earlier in his career. Some believe that the combination of injuries Spence suffered in his 2019 car accident, sparring, inactivity, weight gain and age have taken a toll on him.

Fundora, 6’5″ himself, is coming off a long layoff after last fighting on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154-lb champion Tim Tszyu via a 12-round split decision. It was a grueling fight for both, leaving Tszyu a bloody mess from a head clash earlier in the fight.
