Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for December 2024, with Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo picking up the manager of the month award.
Isak wins the award for the first time in his career after a dazzling December that saw him rack up eight goals and two assists in just six games, scoring in all six games. Newcastlematches throughout the month.
That stretch started with a goal and an assist against Liverpool in a 3-3 draw and it culminated with him finding the back of the net against Manchester United to close in 2024.
Isak fought off competition in the vote from Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah, whose return of seven goals and seven assists saw him break the Premier League record for most goals in a single calendar month.
He becomes this year the fifth different winner of the award, after Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer, Chris Wood and Salah.
Meanwhile, Nuno collects the manager’s award after leading the way forest to a maximum of 15 points in December.
Forest entered 2025 sitting third in the table, behind only Liverpool and Arsenal, after bouncing back from defeat at Manchester City with five straight wins. Man Utd, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur fell victim to Forest before the schedule was over.
It is the second time Nuno has been named manager of the month this season and the sixth in his entire Premier League career.
