Teams and Format
Six teams are participating in the tournament: Auckland Hearts, Canterbury Magicians, Wellington Blaze, Central Hinds, Northern Districts and Otago Sparks. The competition will be played on a two-round system where each team will play home and away matches. The top three teams at the end of the preliminary stage will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the grand finale to be held on February 2 at the Basin Reserve.
Unlike the league stage, where Super Overs are not provided for head-to-head matches, the play-off rounds will include provisions for Super Overs, which ensure decisive results in play-off games.
The upcoming edition celebrates 20 years of T20 cricket in New Zealand, with teams wearing retro-style jerseys inspired by the first T20I between the White Ferns and Southern Stars (now Australia Women) played at Eden Park two decades ago. .
