The Miami Marlins missed the postseason in 2024 after finishing last in the National League East with a 62-100 record.
Since winning the World Series in 2003, the Marlins have made only two postseason appearances, including appearances in the National League Division Series and wild-card rounds.
The Marlins have never won a division title since their inaugural season in 1993, and it looks like 2025 won’t change that.
Sunday included a trade involving the Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies in which the Marlins sent starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo to the Phillies in exchange for prospects.
Fans seem to have similar opinions on social media about the Marlins trade on Sunday.

Fans don’t get excited after the Marlins organization trades one of their best pitchers for prospects.
One fan notes that the Marlins seem to be rebuilding after rebuilding and can’t seem to get a competitive roster.
Luzardo battled injuries in 2024 and started just 12 games for the club, where he had a 3-6 record with a 5.00 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 66.2 innings.
While Luzardo was unimpressive in 2024, his 2023 season when fully healthy was a different story.
In 2023, Luzardo started 32 games and went 10-10 with a 3.58 ERA and 208 strikeouts in 178.2 innings.
Even though the Marlins got some good future players in exchange for Lucardo, fans are growing impatient with a team that has yet to win a division title in franchise history.
The Marlins will look to turn things around in 2025, and it will be interesting to see if the club makes any more moves this offseason.
