Major League Baseball’s offseason has been one for years as all eyes have been on Juan Soto before he finally makes his decision.
Soto was reportedly talking to multiple teams, including the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.
After a long wait-and-see process, Soto signed a 15-year, $765 million deal with the Mets.
When Soto chose to sign with the Mets, there were rumors that the Yankees’ organization had treated his family poorly, which was why he chose not to return to the team.
Soto recently addressed these rumors in an interview with Grandes en los Deportes.
“That’s a lie,” Soto said, via Talkin’ Yanks.
“That’s a lie.”

Soto tries to dispel the rumors, saying the Yankees are a 1A organization and that his experience with the team was great.
It looks like the decision to join the Big One was strictly business.
Soto had a great first season with the Yankees as he played in 157 games and batted .288 with 41 home runs, 109 RBI and a .989 OPS.
Some thought he would return to the team in 2025 if the Yankees approached him with another offer, but that didn’t happen.
In 2025, the subway series may have more drama after Soto’s decision.
