Past Australia National Cricket Team wicketkeeper Ian Healy named the star as the wicketkeeper-batsman of the Indian National Cricket Team. Rishabh pants a ‘work in progress’ cricketer.
Ian Healy said Rishabh Pant’s wicketkeeping is a work in progress and he will have to make a lot of improvements to get better.

Rishabh Pant 19 layoffs in BGT 2024-25
The star wicketkeeper-batsman of the Indian National Cricket Team did not miss the stumps in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
The pants lost quite a bit of grip and looked sloppy as he managed the door. However, despite not being at his best, there were 19 dismissals to Pant’s name.
In three matches in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane, Rishabh Pant took 19 catches behind the stumps, his best performance being 5 catches in an innings. Also, his strikeout rate is 3.166.
Pant’s figures are better than the wicketkeeper-batsman of the Australian National Cricket Team Alex Careywho has 13 catches and 2 stumpings and 15 dismissals to his name with 2.5 rstio per innings.

Meanwhile, Ian Healy said Pant needs to improve his keeping skills, noting that the Indian superstar sometimes made wrong initial moves which caused him to lose his catches.
“Rishabh Pant is a work in progress but I’ve seen him in the mornings and I like the drills he’s been doing; he’s bound to improve. Sometimes, like he does when he gets caught in this job. series before, he may act wrongly initially.
“Some goalkeepers like to touch the left side first and then press from there. Pant has also been poor with the bat in the five-match Test series against the Australian National Cricket Team. Expectations were quite high from Rishabh Pant when India landed in Australia considering his past heroics in the country.
Pant got off to a good start and played his natural aggressive game. However, he could not turn these beginnings into a big score.
The 27-year-old player scored 37, 1, 21, 28 and 9 points in his five innings. Overall, he scored just 96 runs at an average of 19.20 and a strike rate of 60.00. His poor return with the bat has been one of the main reasons behind India’s struggles in the batting department.
