HomeBoxing Boxing Hearn predicts Usyk victory over anger By NetSPORT December 12, 2024 0 114 FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp By Boxing News – 12/12/2024 – Commentary Promoter Eddie Hearn picks Oleksandr Usyk to defeat Tyson Fury in nine days’ time on December 21 in their second fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Hearn says he’d like Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) to win, but he just can’t see the 36-year-old doing it unless he does something “extraordinary.” Fury looked lost by the eighth round in their first fight on May 18 and needed help from the referee to stop Usyk from being knocked out in the ninth round. Even Fury admits he was lucky to survive last time, but that luck could run this time. There will be another referee on December 21. If Fury can’t handle the heavy shots of Usyk, that will be it for him. Hearn’s prediction “I think it’s hard for anyone to pick Tyson Fury to win the fight with an even head. I think it’s going to be an incredibly close battle. I think the last one was too,” Hearn said talkSPORT Boxingteams up with unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk to defeat Tyson Fury on December 21. “But I think just with what we saw from Usyk in the first fight, with his ability to digest information, I think it’s very difficult to pick against him. “I think he (Fury) is capable of winning. I think he’s going to have to do something out of the ordinary, which we’ve seen him do before. It’s very hard not to pick Oleksandr Usyk in this fight,” Hearn said.
