Newly appointed International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman and former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jay Shah has arrived in Brisbane ahead of the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Jay Shah is all set to witness the third Test between the Indian National Cricket Team and the Australian National Cricket Team at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolloongabba starting on December 14.

Jay Shah lands in Brisbane

On Wednesday, December 11, SportsTak reported that Jay Shah will be watching the India vs Australia match in Brisbane from the stands. This will be Shah’s first match to witness after taking over as ICC chairman

Along with Shah, Acting Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Devajit Saikia visited Brisbane and will be in the stands for the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

According to TOI, Jay Shah visited Brisbane not only to watch the high-octane match but also to attend several important meetings.

Brisbane is all set to host the 2032 Olympics, and cricket is part of it. Therefore, there is a possibility that there will be several discussions about this among the officials.

Jay Shah assumed the post of ICC chairman on December 1

Shah officially took over as president of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on December 1.

He was appointed as the BCCI secretary in 2019 and also served as the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) from 2021. However, Jay Shah had to step down from these roles as he took over as ICC Chairman unanimously. selected.

Shah said he was completely honored to become the head of the global body and was excited to work with the other members and take cricket to new heights.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 tied 1-1

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is currently tied at 1-1. India won the first game of the series and Australia won the second game.
