Not Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma! Nitish Reddy revealed that this Indian star is his advisor


Young Indian National Cricket Team all-rounder Nitish Reddy has revealed the star Indian player who is his main mentor.

He has overlooked the likes of Nitish Reddy, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as KL Rahul is the one who offers important suggestions that help him a lot.

Nitish Reddy made his Test debut in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy

21-year-old all-rounder Nitish Reddy picked up the Test cap in Perth after being selected as the only pace bowling all-rounder over Shardul Thakur. series.

Speaking in a video shared on BCCI.TV, Nitish Reddy said that whenever he felt he was facing any problem, he spoke to KL Rahul directly.

He added that the star streak puts him in a good mood and his suggestions always work for him during matches.

“If I have any problem, I just want to go and talk to KL Bhai, I somehow feel a good vibe from him, even though he gives me suggestions that will work for me, give me suggestions before I go to bat and it has worked.” Nitish Reddy said.

In the same video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Nitish Reddy openly admitted that he was not serious about cricket, but the sacrifices made by his father and family encouraged him to do something great and his family members are proud of him.

“Honestly, when I was young, I wasn’t serious. My father gave up his job for me and there are many sacrifices behind my story. One day I saw him crying because of the financial problems we were facing and I thought that my father is making sacrifices and you are just playing cricket for fun. That’s when I got serious and got growth, worked hard and it paid off,” said Nitish.

“Being a child of a middle-class family, I am proud that my father is happy now. I gave him my first jersey and I saw the happiness on his face and I am very proud,” he added.
