OFFICIAL: ROSSI ATTILA MOOR WILL COMPETE IN THE FIM JUNIORGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE MOTO2 CATEGORY IN THE 2025 SEASON!
At the final FIM JuniorGP, hosted by the Estoril circuit in beautiful Portugal, Revis Racing’s next generation rider team, Rossi Attila Moor, completed its 2025 programme.
The young, 17-year-old American-Hungarian talent has signed a full-season contract with Team MMR’s Massimiliano Morlacchi, which will see Rossi compete in the Moto2 Junior GP World Championship in 2025.
The decision was made jointly by the Hungarian-licensed Revez Racing Next Generation Riders team, Rossi, his father Istvan (Steve) and manager Stefano Favaro.
In the two wild card races (in Aragon and Estoril) Rossi was able to work well with experts such as technical director Alessandro Finelli (eg VR46), chief mechanic Ayrton Badovini (ex STK1000), so they did not have a difficult task. World Champion) and the mechanics Jorge, Simon and Guglielmo, were friendly with each other even with half a word.
In Massimiliano Morlacci, humanity was given great importance in the selection, as they encountered a professional who led the team with great knowledge and consistency and treated each team member as a member of the family.
Rossi was also supported by Aprilia Racing MotoGP team principal Massimo Rivola, who works closely with the MMR team on the selection.
We would like to thank team Hummer owners John and Chris Ulrich for allowing Rossi to spend the entire 2024 season in the MotoAmerica TwinCup category and releasing him before the end of his contract to pursue his dream of competing in MotoGP.
The 2025 FIM JuniorGP Championship will consist of 7 rounds, with a total of 10 races for Moto2 category riders.
The first round will take place on the weekend of 2-4 May 2025 in Estoril.
The contract, in addition to the 13-day trial period required by regulation, includes a 5-day personal trial period in Spain starting in March 2025.
The deal also includes the incredible opportunity for Rossi Attila Moor to participate in three races in the Moto2 category as a wild card in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship.
Rossi will continue to be supported by Reves Racing on the road to MotoGP, with Balint Reves, a big fan of motorsport, considering the young rider as one of the great emerging talents.
Rossi Moor: “I am very happy to be able to show that I deserve a place in the team in the last two races of FIM JuniorGP Moto2 in 2024, and I want to thank the whole MMR team for the trust they have shown. It will appear in me in the future. My training program for next season starts next week and it all happens in Spain, so I’m very lucky to be living with my family and managers now. I would like to thank John and Chris Ulrich for giving me the opportunity to continue my career in MotoGP.
“I also want to thank Mr. Balint Revez and Stefano Favaro, who worked very hard to make this happen and helped me in my racing career. Last but not least, I want to thank my father, my brother and all the members of the management.”
John Ulrich: “We’ve watched Rossi closely in the MotoAmerica Minicup and Junior Cup and he’s a very talented motorcycle racer. He is the latest young star to start his professional career with Team Hammer and we look forward to following his progress on the world stage. Go Rossi!”
Stefano Favaro: “I think today is a very important step for Rossi’s sporting career, he deserves it after all.” For my part, I tried to find the best situation for him, both technically and personally, and the best choice was the MMR team. I consider MMR to be a group of excellent professionals. I would like to thank my friend Balint Reeves for his faith in me and Rossi.”
