Hridoy has had impressive numbers for Bangladesh in both ODIs and T20Is. However, he failed to make an impact in the T20 World Cup 2024. The youngster will try to score here, which will be very important for his confidence.
Ahead of Bangladesh’s 1st match against Pakistan Shaheens, captain Towhid Hridoy said he is happy to lead his team and is confident of putting up a good performance as they adjust to the conditions.
“I am proud to lead Bangladesh and look forward to inspiring the team to remarkable performances in this series. “Most of our players have experienced the local conditions and trained well in the previous two weeks,” said Hridoy.
Hridoy also expected the opposition to be strong and tough on them as they play in their own backyard, but he hopes to take confidence from the four-day series where Bangladesh A performed well with the bat.
“The Falcons will attack us hard in their own backyard but we will take inspiration from our batting heroics in the second four-day match where we dominated with the bat and the players will be eager to emulate the performance,” he said.
