The Colorado Rockies completed another disappointing season in 2024 as they finished with a record of 61 wins and 101 losses.
After missing the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season, the Rockies will need to make some changes to be competitive in 2025.
The Rockies finished last in the National League West for the third year in a row, and they have never won the division since joining the MLB in 1993.
As the offseason begins, the Rockies have revealed they are willing to trade two players on their roster.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Rockies are open to trading Brendan Rodgers and Justin Lawrence.

Rodgers entered the league in 2019 and has spent all six seasons of his MLB career with the Rockies.
In 2024, Rodgers played 135 games and batted .267 with 13 home runs, 54 RBI and a .721 OPS.
The middle infielder can play both second base and shortstop, and he could be an intriguing player that draws some team’s interest this offseason.
Lawrence entered the league in 2021 and has also played all four seasons of his MLB career with the Rockies.
In 2024, Lawrence appeared in 56 games and had a 6.49 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.
The Rockies are willing to part ways with players who have been with their organization for years in an effort to return to a competitive baseball team.
With zero World Series titles and just one pennant in 32 seasons as an MLB organization, the Rockies look like they need to make some major changes.
It will be interesting to see how aggressive the team is this offseason.
