In a major development ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan government has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) not to adopt a hybrid model for the tournament.
Recently, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi moved his country’s government to seek their intervention after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to send the Indian team to the tournament.
The BCCI has informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the Indian government’s decision to deny the team from traveling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The ICC has informed the PCB about India’s decision which led to the departure of Mohsin Naqvi to the Pakistan government.

According to RevSportz, the Pakistan government has refused to host the PCB’s Champions Trophy in a hybrid model. A hybrid model seemed to be the only way to get India into the tournament.
