Former Man United boss Erik ten Hag has been spotted out for the second time since the Dutch manager was sacked by the Premier League club and this time, the 54-year-old’s whereabouts may hint at his next job.
Ten Hag was sacked from his role as Man United manager at the end of October following the 2-1 defeat by West Ham. This has added to an underwhelming start to the 2024/25 campaign which has seen the Dutch manager leave the Red Devils in the bottom half of the Premier League and winless in the Europa League.
Man United have seen an upturn in form since Ruud van Nistelrooy took temporary charge at Old Trafford, who has he brought out the best in several stars, especially Bruno Fernandes.
Ruben Amorim will now take over at Man United as a new era begins at the Manchester club.
United beat Leicester City 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, but instead of watching the Premier League giants, Ten Hag found themselves watching two of their former clubs as FC Twente drew 2-2 with Ajax.
according to The Mirrorthis follows last weekend’s discovery of the former Man United boss as the Dutch manager’s love of football has not been affected as he was back to watch another Eredivisie clash between Heracles and NAC Breda.
Could Erik ten Hag return to Ajax?
Ten Hag’s latest sightings of his former club Ajax may indicate where the former Man United boss could be coaching, as the 54-year-old has been linked with a return to Amsterdam this year. The Mirror.
Ajax are currently third in the Eredivisie, seven points behind league leaders PSV Eindhoven, and if the Dutch giants continue to slide, they could part ways with Francesco Farioli at the end of the season, opening up a road to Ten Hag.
It remains to be seen where the Ten Hag will train, but for now, it’s nice to see the 54-year-old getting some time off after a tough few months at Man United.
