South Africa batted on the second day with Verreynne hitting a fine century, putting pressure on Bangladesh to mount an impressive reply. Mahmud’s earlier breakthroughs had raised some hopes for Bangladesh as he dismissed the charge Wian Mulder and Keshav Maharaj in rapid succession. In the end, South Africa finished with 308 and extended their lead to 202.
