US Women’s Open Friday Group Times: What you need to know
Nelly Korda had high hopes of capturing her second consecutive major championship and first US Women’s Open title this week. But after a tough first round at Riviera, Korda will have work to do in the second round.
The World No. 1 started on the back nine and got off to a quick start with a birdie on 11. But subsequent bogeys followed on 12 and 13. She got back on par with a birdie on the par-5 1st, her 10th hole of the day, but two more bogeys on her back nine left her with a first-round 73.
Korda will have to make up some ground on Friday to get into contention, or at least fire a solid round to make the cut.
Korda will begin her second round on Friday at 4:14 PM ET playing her Hyo Joo Kim AND Hannah Green as he did in the first round.
