The TPU outsole and snug fit keep you locked into every swing without ever feeling like you’re strapped into a boot. One tester said it was the most comfortable spiked shoe they had ever worn.
2nd Place (Spike) – PAYNTR Chef RX Tour Thu
Min Woo Lee’s signature shoes with PAYNTR might just be the brand’s best ever. The full-grain leather upper combined with a bootie knit construction makes for one of the most comfortable rides in the studded category. The pull is as good as it gets. He scored a 9.8 overall and finished just a hair behind the Blade Tour. The only thing you should know: the wider front and lack of side reinforcements make it a touch less stable than something like the Adipower 26 or Victory Pro 4.
of Adipower The 26 is both a great golf shoe and a great value. At $140, it scored a 9.8 in our testing, ranking second overall among all the studded shoes we tested. The fit is comfortable and the side reinforcements give you a level of stability that usually costs a lot more. Testers raved about the recall, too. One thing to keep in mind is that the cushioning setup is firmer than previous adidas models. If you’re expecting that marshmallow sensation, you might be surprised.
NIKE has had its struggles in the golf shoe space, but Victory Pro 4 it’s proof that NIKE can still make a great shoe. This is the most durable cleat we’ve tested in 2026. The TPU outsole, sturdy Cushlon midsole, and lateral stability arms make it feel like your foot is locked into the ground at address. If you tend to slip or lose your footing through the swing, this should be on your list.
of TravisMathew NuAge Mega it’s the most comfortable studded golf shoe of 2026, and it’s not even an argument. Testers said it felt like walking in a maximally cushioned running shoe. Testers felt they could easily make 36 holes without paying their feet. The trade-off is stability. The tall stack height means you won’t find a ton of torsional stiffness here.
No shoe we tested this year fits as well as it does FootJoy Pro/SL. FootJoy updated the latest and made all the difference. Testers were blown away by how locked-in this shoe felt from the first time they laced it up. The Pro/SL also has a nylon forefoot plate for stability and a traction pattern that holds up in any condition. The cushioning is firm and responsive rather than melting – but if you want a shoe that does everything well and fits like it was made for your foot, this is it.
Under Armor heard the complaints about the Drive Pro and fixed them. of Clone Whether your foot shapes are narrow, wide, or somewhere in between, the dual foam cushioning makes this one of the most comfortable spikeless options you’ll find. He scored a 9.7 overall and finished just behind Pro/SL. The only area where it gives a little back is wet weather traction.
At $99, this is a no-brainer. of Reebok Nano Golf it scored 9.6 in our testing, a number that would command attention at any price. Testers said it felt more like a running shoe than a golf shoe. The traction is strong and will keep your feet dry. The only catch is that the knit upper attracts dirt like crazy, so if you’re worried about keeping your shoes clean, just know what you’re getting into.
of Beta Lite feels like your favorite casual sneaker. Testers kept saying they forgot they were even wearing a golf shoe. It scored a 9.6 overall and topped all studless shoes in our comfort category. It’s $288 puts it in a different conversation in terms of price, but if convenience is the only box you need to check, the Beta Lite checks it better than anything else we’ve tested.
Not everyone wants to feel like they’re walking on pillows. Some golfers like to feel the ground and Presidio it was created for exactly that. The minimalist design and shorter lugs give you a real feel of the terrain that testers said made them feel in control of their ride from start to finish. The low stack height and TPU outsole also give it better-than-average stability for a studless shoe.
Best for wet conditions – HERE IS BIOME C5
If you play in the rain a lot or live somewhere where the weather just doesn’t care, then HERE IS BIOME C5 it’s the shoes you need. Gore-Tex Surround waterproofing keeps your foot dry. The E-TTS outsole is built for aggressive multi-directional traction in the worst conditions. It scored a 9.5 overall in our testing, and Elements’ score was among the best in the spike-free category.
If you are a walker, this shoe is built for you. The Clone upper adapts to your foot over time meaning the longer you wear it the better it gets and the dual foam cushioning keeps your feet feeling cool deep in the rear. He scored 9.7 overall.
Players with wide feet have long struggled to find a studless shoe that fits properly and HERE IS BIOME C5 it’s one of the best answers out there. The construction molds to your foot over time, giving wider feet the kind of natural accommodation that most golf shoes simply don’t offer. Add Gore-Tex waterproofing and that aggressive sole, and you’ve got a shoe that works as well as it fits.
Golf fashion is having a moment and adidas MC70 it’s proof that performance and style don’t have to be a compromise. Inspired by adidas’ iconic heritage of 1970s golf shoes, the MC70 features a full-grain leather upper that looks just as good on the 19th hole as it does on the first drive. The shoe has Boost + LightStrike that protects a roll bar for stability and strong all-around numbers in our testing.
If you’re going to splurge on a golf shoe, go for it Heathlander. This shoe won Best New Product at the 2025 PGA Show. The pebbled leather upper is premium without being flashy. The Pebax shoe is noticeably softer and the comfort from the first hole is something you don’t expect from a leather shoe. Traction is excellent, durability is strong and the waterproofing holds up when conditions get tough. At $205-$225, it’s not cheap, but this is the kind of shoe you’ll still be talking about two seasons from now.
