Zimbabwe squads for ODI and T20I series against Afghanistan announced, Sam Curran’s brother named


Zimbabwe National Cricket Team announced their squads for the white ball series against Afghanistan National Cricket Team. The two teams will clash in a three-match T20I as well as a three-match ODI series.

Afghanistan’s tour of Zimbabwe will begin with a three-match T20I series. The first game of the series will be played on December 11, and the second and third games will be played on December 13 and 14, respectively. All three games will be played at Harare Sports Club.

The two teams will then lock horns in a three-match ODI series. The 50-over series will be played on December 17, with the next game of the series on December 19, followed by the final game on December 21. All games will be played at Harare Sports Club.

The T20I team will be captained by Sikandar Raza and the ODI team will be led by Craig Ervine. Ben Curran, brother of Tom and Sam Curran, was rewarded for his performance in the domestic circuit and was included in the 50-over format squad for the series against Afghanistan.

Young left winger Newman Nyamhuri also earned a first call-up. He was included in both squads and was selected after impressing with his performance at the Under-19 World Cup in South Africa, where he was Zimbabwe’s top wicket-taker.
