Your trail hand can be sabotaging your swing. Here’s how to show



After teaching thousands of players over the years, I have discovered something that can surprise you: there is no “perfect” position of the hand track. However, by checking how your palm matches the syllable regarding the club’s face remains one of the biggest steps you can take towards the best golf.

I have seen successful players with their hand of tracks positioned under syllable, on the syllable side and more on top. Common thread among all of them? Their grip matches their body type. This is not about following a textbook position – it is about finding What does biomechanically work for YOUR shaking.

True problems begin when the hand of a player’s tracks is misinformed with their natural movement patterns. When this happens, I see players fighting with a cascade of shaking issues. They fight over-the-top movements, develop a chicken wing through influence, hang again on their side of the trail or on the unstable face battle. What looks like multiple oscillation errors is often just a basic error: a hand -hand position that forces the body to compensate throughout the swing movement.

These compensation occurs because your body is trying to solve a mistake on your face. When your control is not natural at the club, your subconscious takes over and creates a way out. Unfortunately, these allowances usually create more problems than they solve, leading to that disappointing cycle of fixing one issue just to have another pop. Look below to see what I mean.

How, then, how should your trail hand go? I use a simple “casting test” developed by Mike Adams, a Golf Hall of Teacher Famethrough his basic research and work in the dynamics of bioswing. This rating helps you find out how your hand naturally matches the club, taking into account the structure and patterns of your body movement to detect the syllable position that will allow you to swing freely without compensation.

Once you have completed the test and identified your ideal trail hand position, the next step is straightforward: match that catch in the configuration and then swing your swing. Do not try to change your oscillation mechanics first – leave the right control extension to make the lifting heavy.

Here’s what to wait after you match the control correctly: the ball will fly with much less curve. This is when you know you found your natural position. With a narrower ball flight as your foundation, then you can adjust your stretch, ball position and other preferences to fill your oscillation of course. Instead of fighting compensation, you are now making small adjustments that improve what your body already does well.
