Yoenli Hernandez predicts that Canelo Alvarez will beat Terence Crawford against the eighth round on Saturday night.
The unbeaten middleweight contender, Yoenli, was one of Canelo’s two high-profile partnerships for this camp to help him prepare him in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13 at Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs).
Success against ‘Boots’ Ennis
Cuban native Hernandez mentions that Canelo (63-2-2, 39 COs) in the other name sparring partner, Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis could enter. He mentions that ‘boots’ could handle some of the things that Canelo did. Yoenli believes that Canelo came more from the sparring sessions than Ennis did because of the success he had.
He mentions that Alvarez could hold the fight shortly after the middle distance where he wanted it to be. For Canelo to find out ‘Boots’ style so quickly and to do well against him, it indicates that he could possibly do the same with Crawford. The two fighters are seen as a simlar in fighting style.
“My prediction in this one, I just give it an eighth round,”Said Yoenli Hernandez Millcity BoxingPredict a knockout victory for Canelo Alvarez over Terence Crawford.
Canelo who knocks Crawford in the fight would be a bad look for the Nebraska native. There are many fans who believe that Crawford will win Canelo and dominate in the same way he did in the lower weight classes. What gives Canelo a good chance to strike Crawford is that he probably won’t run because Turki Alalshikh doesn’t want Tom and Jerry fights.
Canelo’s trust is justified
“At some point, Boots didn’t know how to handle some of the things of Canelo in the sparring session to the table. Canelo found a way to get on boots, which is why he benefited more from the sparring than he did,” Hernandez said.
