Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women Produce a bowling screen against a team Delhi Capitals Women In his 11th match Women’s Premier League 2026 At Dr DY Patil Sports Academy. After winning the toss and electing to field first, RCB were rewarded almost immediately as were the bowlers led by him. Lauren BellDC dismantled their top line and took control of the contest in the opener.
Toss decision pays rich dividends for RCB
RCB captain Smriti Mandhana didn’t hesitate to put Delhi into bat, supporting his pace attack to take advantage of the conditions. The move paid off as the new ball bowlers troubled the life out of DC’s star-studded batting line-up with movement and bounce.
The early pressure visibly unsettled the Delhi camp, with wickets falling in quick succession and the momentum shifting towards RCB in the first few minutes of the game.
Lauren Bell sets the tone for the dream first by firing Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt.
Bell, a player of the England national team, made a sensational opening and overturned the match. Bowling with pace, accuracy and movement, Bell struck twice to rattle Delhi.
On the third ball of the first over, Bell conceded Lizelle Lee with a pinpoint yorker. Lee shuffled his stumps trying to get the ball away but missed completely as the delivery hit leg stump. The early breakthrough sparked loud celebrations in the RCB camp and Bell took immediate control.
Just two deliveries later, Bell was dismissed with a more spectacular dismissal to send it back Laura Volwardt. Bowling a full, seaming delivery that came back sharply, Bell beat Wolvaardt’s drive and smashed the middle stump. The sight of two straight stumps concluded RCB’s dream start and DC’s nightmare start.
