Promoter Eddie Hearn still hopes to put together the struggle between the former Kings of Britain, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in 2026.

Some British fans are still eager to see the tired game, but the American public is set off by both and considered them too rich and as symbols of artificially produced fighters who were never as good as they marketed.
Interest in the Fury-Joshua struggle has long for a long time. This is beyond the rot stage, as there has been talk about the match for more than ten years. None of them wanted to fight if it really mattered, when they were still in the 20s. The way they both looked over the past three years, I see it just as miserable that the game is happening now.
Why should we care even more?
The competition would have meant something five years ago when they were still at the top of their matches, but none of them are at the top level at this point. Fury (34-2-1, 24 COs) lost his last two battles and looks old for 37.

Joshua’s expensive rebuilding of four matches done by Hearn was a total failure, as he was wiped out in his last fight when he was linked to a semi-orderly fighter, Daniel Dubois, in September 2024.

Hearn is, of course, still interested in battle. The question is whether Turki Alalshikh wants to pay the massive price tag to put the Fury against Joshua match together. I don’t see why he would. It is a fight that would only resonate with the British box public, not worldwide. Americans don’t judge them, and I’m not sure they’ve ever done it.
Fury’s best win is Klitschko, and the nearest second is Deontay Wilder. What does this say about ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury? He was never the right thing.
“The thing AJ wants more than anything is fighting Tyson Fury,” Eddie Hearn said Sky Sports.
“I think Turki Alalshikh is probably the only one to make the Tyson Fury fight fight, because both guys want a huge amount of money. And the biggest fight in the sport is Anthony Joshua to Tyson Fury,” Hearn told ESPN.
