Jena Sims, PGA Tour champion,
Hello friends, and welcome to this week’s edition of the Rogers Report! There may not be a PGA Tour event happening this week, but there’s still plenty going on in the world of golf. For example, Red Sun Day recently launched her own line for women, which is me LOT excited about.
To know me is to know that I wear very basic and comfortable clothes when I’m on a golf tournament. Take a look at my Instagram and you’ll see a lot of casual and sporty sweatshirts, which is exactly what Sun Day Red’s women’s line is all about. Their elevated essentials are ideal for being on the course, running errands and lounging around the house – three things I personally love to do.
And even though their pink hoodie isn’t technically from the women’s line, I had to give it a shout out. It’s the perfect shade of pink and would be perfect for the colder weather.
Golf Halloween Costumes
We’re only a few days away from Halloween, and if you’re anything like me, you usually wait until the last minute to get a costume together. I’ve seen just about every golf-inspired costume there is over the past few years working in golf media, so let me throw in some last-minute costume ideas if you’re in a pinch.
- Masters caddy: You didn’t have time to get the official Caddy uniformplease plan better next year. Fortunately, you can still wear a painter’s suit or an all-white outfit. Be sure to include a last name in green on the back. Extra points if you carry a staff bag and wear HOKA.
- Scottie Scheffler: You can wear an orange jumpsuit with a green jacket, or you can just carry around a gold medal and a ton of trophies by wearing an oversized Nike golf shirt. Also, act like you’ve been there before, and don’t celebrate too much when someone hands you a full-sized candy bar during trick-or-treating.
- Tiger Woods: A red shirt and black pants. No spinal fusion required.
- John Daly: This is great if you own a golf cart. Throw on the loudest golf outfit you own, grab a soda and enjoy.
- Charlie Hull: All you need for this one is a hat, sunglasses and an arrow. Extra points if you have a Malbon Golf outfit.
- Jason Day: Another Malbon athlete! Find a windbreaker and big pants with a pattern on them. This may take some explaining, but many of the best Halloween costumes do.
- Rickie Fowler: Wear whatever orange outfit you own and pair it with a metal water bottle.
Pro in the World Series
What do Taylor Swift and Bryson DeChambeau have in common? Well, both are extremely successful. Additionally, (and perhaps most importantly!) the two have spent time at Yankee Stadium over the past few weeks. To my fellow Getty Image photographers out there: You all did a great job capturing some images of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce during Game 1 of the ALCS. I’m asking you to do the same for the professional players who are following the World Series. Scottie Scheffler attended Game 3 with Adam Sandler on Monday night, and we don’t have the professional photos to prove it. Heartbreaking!
Fortunately, my colleague, Alan Bastablewas able to provide some details from the pro golf/”Happy Gilmore” outing that took place Monday night.
Happy Gilmore and Shooter McGavin are at the World Series game tonight with…Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau! True story. The source tells me the laughs broke out. Jameson shoots too

On Tuesday, Alan told me his source got one detail wrong: Brooks Koepka was in the box, not Bryson, but Scheffler and Brooks also apparently met with Bryson, who was seated elsewhere in the stadium. I have to wonder what the conversation between Sandler, Scheffler and Koepka sounded like. Was it similar to the conversations Jay Monahan, Rory McIlroy and Yasir Al-Rumayyan have had? Did they solve all the issues facing the state of professional golf over a hot dog and popcorn? Maybe not. But it’s fun to imagine.
Here’s a shot of Brooks at the game with his wife, Jena Sims.
Crossing America seems like the perfect way to spend part of the golf off-season.
The best golf schedule
Plan this PGA Tour! LIV program it! I’ve always said there’s a lot of discussion about professional golf’s schedule and not enough about Lee Trevino’s schedule. Let’s change that, shall we?
Trevino is 84 years old and keeps his game sharp with 90 minutes of practice every day. And then he leaves the rest of the day open to “do nothing!” This could be my ideal retirement. I would definitely like to get out on the course and play a few days a week, but this is a very good start. And for someone who spent decades of his life filling it, I can see why he’s focused on the practice.
Trevino finished his work for the day before lunch. Aspirational. And if my bosses are reading this, I promise I have no idea.
Caitlin Clark
The countdown to Caitlin Clark’s pro-am appearance at The Annika next month has begun, and Clark is working the course in preparation for it. The WNBA rookie is working with former LPGA player Martha Foyer-Faulconer to get rid of her (bound) putt and hit her driver.
Clark told Foyer-Faulconer that she just wants to “kill him,” which makes it official: Clark has the golf bug.
