It might be Tiger Woods’ tour, but Scottie Scheffler basically owns the Hero’s World Challenge. Scheffler, the world No. 1, is back in the Bahamas again this week and returns as the massive betting favourite.
World Hero Challenge 2025 betting favourites
Scheffler is +140 to win this week, according to The Fanatic’s Sports Book. While those odds may seem ridiculous, that’s partly due to Scheffler’s form, tournament history and the field. A handful of big names are in the World Hero Challenge, but the field still has just 20 players, and one who is usually Scheffler’s biggest competitor, Rory McIlroy, is playing the Australian Open this week.
Not only has Scheffler won the World Hero Challenge the last two years, but he was runner-up (both times to Viktor Hovland) two years ago. This means that in his last four appearances he has won twice and finished as runner-up twice.
Now those odds make sense.
Robert MacIntyre has the second best odds to win at +1100, closely followed by Cameron Young (+1100). Keegan Bradley, fresh from his appearance in The Skins Game on Friday, is +1600 to win.
While Woods is out this year as he recovers from his recent back surgeryhe will be on the field and has a press conference scheduled for 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
The Hero World Challenge, an unofficial PGA Tour event, will be broadcast live on Golf Channel from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with Golf Channel and NBC sharing the weekend broadcast.
