Paris – The laws of drinking It is all the rage in Paris, as the 22-year-old French has grown in the semifinals in her debut Grand Slam. With her victory Boisson became the second player in the last 40 years to defeat many opponents of Top-10 in her girls ‘girls’ event, after Monica Seles in Roland-Garros 1989.
Boisson is the first player in the open era to reach the semifinals of women’s single in a wild card in Roland-Garros, and she could become the first of Wild Card Grand Slam finalist from Justine Heni to Australian Open 2010.
Excluding unlawful players, Lois Boisson is ranked lower (#361) to reach a women’s semi -finals for women in the last 40 years in the last 40 years.
Boisson has been the third player since 1980 to reach the semifinals in their women’s girls’ girls in the main appearance of Monica Seles (Roland Garros 1989) and Jennifer Capria (Roland Garros 1990).
After playing only two WTA level games before Roland-Garros, Boisson is the player with the least WTA-level games played before reaching her daughters Grand Slam in the Open Age, equating with Elisabeth Ekblom in Australian Open 1976.
