For gear heads, Patrick Reed has been a very fun topic of conversation over the years.
Since his winning in the 2018 masters and his choice out of reservation to choose an open bag next season and eventually design his iron with the start of Grindworks, Reed has been the poster for exchanging gears. I can’t think of a player who makes more little tweets week to week than “Captain America”.
This week in Liv Dallas, Reed Survived Absolute Brutal Test in Maridoe Golf Club To win the Play Off with four men against Louis Oosthuizen, Paul Casey and Jinichiro Kozuma. The victory of the victory marks the first Reed victory in Liv and his first professional victory in his Texas state.
Putting the bag is interesting in some ways, but let me show the highlights, as it is quite interesting, and I could write about this guy for days.
- His handcuffs are flat: Three to four degrees flat, depending on the week, which can make it better in terms of lies in the liv. The other thing to consider is that with as flat as its handcuffs, it still strikes a largely draw, which will test the brains of any release monitor there. Typically, players with the angles of the most pleasant lies soften the ball. But this is Patrick Reed. The standard angle of the lie is about 61 degrees for a 5-Hakuri, but Reed can go as low as 57. This is really flat.
- He bought his 3-dawn: True story, he was looking for something different, his wife Justine wandered a golf galaxy in the forests, TX and came up with a Qi35. They set up one of Fujukura Ventus Blue TRY Old Reed in it, put a Golf Pride MCC check and the rest is story. Was written on the stars apparently because he stripped that thing all week.
- He is not afraid to exchange putters: He has been using a Odyssey for years, but also cheats with a Scotty Cameron 2.5 and some other gems with a similar view. However, Odyssey gets on the central stage in all big moments.
- He has a set of lobe wedges: From Vokey to Callaway to Cleveland, the boy exchanged lobe wedge as a cycling child through songs in Spotify. To be right, they are all the low versions. Callaway C or T, Vokey M, L or T and Cleveland Low.
- He has a security blanket: His driver’s axis is an Aldila Rogue Silver 125 70Tx. The ALDILA ROGUE platform is more than a decade old, and the front Fujukura Ventus, it was so far the hottest axis in the tour … again in 2015. Silver is a shaft that always seems to turn into strictly for feeling, which makes sense with its hand action, delay and temple. This further proves that a good shaft is difficult to find, and if you have a good time, you make it work as long as you can.
Here is the rest of Patrick Reed’s gear configuration:

Title Vokey SM10 Wedge Raw Custom
For every shot, every lie, every course, there is a suitable for your swinging. Finding the right grind to match your conditions and the conditions of the game will give you the best terrain interaction, contact and performance of the shot. Master Master Bob Vokey has spent decades working, developing and improved his proven tour to adapt players of all levels. Dokush can produce a wedge, but it needs a master to turn a piece of high performance technology into a creative control instrument. The six grinding proven by Bob’s tour are created to provide maximum creativity, skills and sustainability, all meticulously developed through years of working with the best players in the world. The progressive center of the Gravity SM9 features a progressive center of gravity (CG) across the Lofts, which optimizes the ball flight, accuracy and forgiveness. Using the top -tap lines and the varied length of boots, the Vokey R&D team has raised the height of CG to the highest lofts, which promotes a lower, more controlled flight. CG is also in front of the face, resulting in growing MOI, tremendous feeling and a club face that simply wants to come to influence. The rolls of the patent patented round patented SM9 are strictly engineered through a new cutting process to maximize rotation and durability. The process begins by cutting the face perfectly flat with a high -speed saw. Then each habit is individually cut based on attic and finished; Low lofts (46 ° -54 °) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while the higher lofts (56 ° -62 °) have wider, shallow grooves. The micro-grooves are individually cut between the grooves, which maximize the rotation on the partial shots. A heat owner treatment is applied to the impact area that doubles the durability of the grooves without affecting the feeling, making it more stable Golf. The process is complete only when each wedge Vokey is inspected 100% for maximum quality and performance.
