Will Harry Brook replace Jos Buttler as full-time skipper? Eoin Morgan hails the youngster’s exceptional captaincy

Former England National Cricket Team captain Eoin Morgan has heaped praise on young stand-in captain Harry Brooke for his leadership in the ongoing ODI series. Australian National Cricket Team. He said the young batsman was exceptional with his captaincy and it was a big boost for the England team.

Youngster Harry Brook has been quite decent with his leadership in the ongoing series against the Australian National Cricket Team. Although England trailed 2-1 in the series, his leadership was the biggest positive for the team in the series.

Harry Brook has been in the limelight with his bowling changes as well as his fielding positions. The right-hander tries different things and it works in his favor. His best came in the third ODI when England staged a solid comeback and won the first game of the series.

Harry Brook led from the front as he scored a magnificent ton to help his team win the game. The right-hander batted in complete control as he made sure he stayed in till the end and took his team to victory and back into the series.

Eoin Morgan praised Harry Brook for his leadership as he pointed out how England were able to beat the world champions. He said it was a big step forward for the England team and Brook’s captaincy. Speaking on Sky Cricket, he explained:

“Yes, exceptional, I thought, and it was necessary. I think it’s in this transition period for a very young England white-ball team, it’s important to get your message, your delivery and your clarity right, but everything gets diluted. You can’t see that in front of you and the world champions, beating the best side in the world the way they did.

“I think I’ll bring a huge amount of belief, a huge amount of confidence, and that will carry weight with the words of Harry Brook and Marcus Trescothick, which will go a long way for the England team and Harry Brook’s captaincy.”

He was absolutely superb, hitting Eoin Morgan on his first ODI 100 – Harry Brook.

Eoin Morgan then noted how Harry Brook planned Cameron Green’s wicket in the second ODI when Jacob Bethell was bowling. He also praised the young batsman for his sensational ton in the last game. He added:

“I thought he was an extremely good captain, especially when Jacob Bethell played, he tried to create something when there was nothing on offer and it worked. They got a big wicket in Cameron Green at a silly position at short-wicket and he was just a bit he seemed to have a boost in confidence, which of course led to his batting.

“I thought he scored his maiden ODI 100 brilliantly and the England team will come here today feeling confident and thinking they can win 2-1,” he said.
