When WBC, WBO and IBF Super Middleweight Champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez defend its titles against the WBO tussenty super welterweight champion Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on Saturday about Netflix, will it comply with the hype?
In Crawford’s last battle in June 2024, he barely received by defeating WBO tussentage champion Israil ‘The Dream’ Madrimov, 10-0-1, of Uzbekistan with a scores of 115-113 twice and 116-112. Instead of a Rematch, in February 2025, Madrimov challenged the WBC-Tus-Title, and lost to Vergel Ortiz, Jr., 22-0, lost with a scores of 115-113 twice and 117-111.
Crawford has been inactive for the past fifteen months. On the other hand, Canelo last fought in May 2025 and defeated the Cuban Wiliam ‘El Incomable’ Scull, 23-0 from Germany with a scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 119-109.
Canelo weighed 167 ¾ for that fight, while Crawford weighed a career with 153 ½ in his last fight.
Canelo at 63-2-2 with 39 downtime from Guadalajara, Mexico, and Sherman Oaks, California, at the age of 35. Crawford at 41-0 with 31 strokes from Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 38.
Most fans would like to see Canelo the WBC champion, David ‘The Monster Bandera Roja, with 30-0, with 24-standing downs from Las Vegas, planned to fight against Anthony Yarde, 27-3, on November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Most fans would like to see Crawford IBF Welterweight and even the IBO Welterweight title in 2020 champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, 34-0, with 30 strokes from Philadelphia, dad, who will move up against Uisma Lima, 14-1 on October 11. Lima won its last three fights against unbeaten opponents.
