Your hips roll, he said, leaving his arms and club far behind.

The ball goes to “right field,” as McCormick called it. Or left field, for lefties.
What is the solution to this problem?
There are several parts to it, said McCormick, who also is of Jordan Spieth longtime coach.
– Assume your normal posture.
– Lift your toes off the ground
– Turn your trail leg 45 degrees to the right (if you are right-handed).
– Plant your toes back into the ground as you drive into the kick.
“It’s going to help you get your arms and club in front of your body,” McCormick said in the video, “and pick that part out.”

It takes a minute to get used to. It feels kind of weird, and you naturally focus on your right leg more than the swing at first. But it promotes the movement that McCormick noted. It also feels quiet.
