I’ve tried my fair share of golf training aids over the years, and while some have been total failures, there was one this year that became my best purchase of 2025: the Short Game Gains Trigon Toolkit. This simple but effective tool has completely transformed my approach to putting, and that’s why it has become indispensable in my game this season.
Trigon Short Game Toolkit
Our most innovative package yet – Trigon Toolkit comes with 4 deployment aids. First, the Steel Trigon Mirror is a double-sided reflective plate for checking eye line, starting line practice, face alignment, aiming and center contact enforcement. It also acts as a template, working in conjunction with the chalk placement pens to create an identical alignment configuration on the grass. Next, the Trigon Toolkit includes a double-sided, reflective steel shoulder extension mirror. The reverse side acts as a ruler to measure setup and calibrate your stroke length. Additionally, this pack boasts 2 chalk pens filled with non-toxic water-based chalk for creating target lines, alignment traces and starting line graphics. These are easily wiped off with a damp cloth and do not damage or kill the grass. Finally, this kit includes a retractable target string. This can be used to connect the Trigon to a desired target point, either hole or secondary point. This helps not only with aiming, but also with the starting line and reading the green. Perfect fit, every time
Proper alignment is critical on the green. Not only is it the foundation for a solid shot, but it’s also essential for starting line shots and making sure you’re aiming correctly. That’s why this betting overview from Short Game Gains has become one of my favorite tools.
With this tool, I can confirm that my eye position is correct – something that directly affects how the beat face is aimed. By checking this on every shot, I can be sure I’m lined up correctly before I pick up the shooter again. I can also use the mirror to check that my body alignment is square to the target, which is essential for a consistent shot.
Build a lasting shot
This setting mirror is double-sided, which means that I can not only fine-tune my alignment, but also track the length of the stroke. This was the missing piece in my placement game that finally clicked, and it’s all thanks to this tool.
With this training aid, I was able to develop a 60-40 strokeand it has made a huge difference in my distance control, touch and overall performance on the green. Now, not only am I more confident with my pace and feel, but it’s also translated into fewer three-putts—something that previously ruined my rounds.
Tournament level practice sessions
But perhaps the best part of the Trigon Toolkit is that it was designed by two tournament players, Fredrik Lindblom and Hannah Gregg. Created by pros for pros, it gives amateurs like me access to the exact tools—like chalk pens and alignment string—tournament pros use to fine-tune their appearance week after week. The best part? This gives me the same organization, precision and confidence that the pros rely on every time they prepare for a tournament.
