In March 2025, Kylian Mbappé made an amazing business movement by buying a participation in the team of France Sailgp.
Through his venture capital company, Coalition Capital, MBAPPE became the Official Charity Member of the TeamBy joining a diverse group of Global Racing Investors, which includes the F1 pilot Sebastian Vettel, sponsoring the German team, and actors Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, co -owners of the Australian team.
In a recent interview with AthleticsReal Madrid’s superstar opened on its reasons to invest in the team.
“Well, the first is that, as a French person, I always wanted to support my compatriots,” Mbappé explained. “I always wanted to support French sport, so it was already a first factor.”
He also emphasized the social impact of Sailgp: “The second is because Sailgp does a lot socially for children. And having been able to involve my foundation with Sailgp is really something that fills me with joy because we share many values and we have many projects planned together for the future.”
Founded in 2020, Mbappé inspired by the Kylian Mbappé Foundation (IBKM) aims to help young people find direction and purpose in their lives. Through his collaboration with the French team Sailgp, he is creating opportunities for some of the 98 adolescents and young adults in his program to experience first -hand the excitement of high -level competition.
“I want them to have the freedom to create their own experience, their own memories, because they are the ones who will live it,” he said.
“They will also learn the meaning of sacrifice, the meaning of hard work, because they will see the amount of work that is needed to obtain a result, to see the preparation for a significant competition. Of course, I do not know what they intend to do with their lives in the future, but they will see the mental preparation of the sailors, seeing the amount of self -control and the management of emotions.”
As for his own sailing experience, Mbappé admitted that he is still limited, but he wants to learn and see it as a new potential passion beyond football.
“I am a very curious person and I am trying to develop more and more to gain as much knowledge as possible,” he said. “So it really will be a great learning experience because navigation is not an area that I know very well.
“I never wanted to close any doors for my post-Carrera career. I never meant that nothing, so we will see it, but I have a lot of work to do before considering what comes next.”
With its commitment to French sport, youth development and personal growth, Mbappé’s investment in Sailgp reflects both its ambitions on the pitch, and suggests an exciting future, either on the football field or at the open sea.
