Turki Alalshikh praised Shakur Stevenson on social media today for giving fans what they wanted to see in his victory over William Zepeda last Saturday night in Queens, NY. He calls it a “Great battle,” Says that Shakur is “more respected than ever.”
Morrell vs. Khataev: real struggle
It wasn’t a big fight. The golden standard for ‘Great Fight’ was the David Morrell against Imam Khatav collision on the map last Saturday at Louis Armstrong Stadium. The battle was much more entertaining to look at than to be stuck to the ropes all night, trying to block shots and hit the body with uninterrupted bumps from Zepeda.
Stevenson vs. Zepeda scores
Turki did not mention the broad scores made by the three judges for the Shakur vs. Zepeda struggle was not submitted. He should have said something about this because they Fake picture That Stevenson (24-0, 11 COs) won in a 12-0 blowout.
Here are the judges’ horrible scores:
118-110 = 10-2
118-110
119-109: 11-1
How is it that a judge could only give Zepeda (33-1, 27 COs) one round in the entire fight, and the other two only two rounds? This gives the appearance that Zepeda never had a chance with the way these three battle.
I watched the fight and Zepeda had a standstill. He captured Stevenson the whole fight, injured him in third place and rubbed him from head to toe with shots. He was like a punching bag for Zepeda.
Zepeda’s review body shots
The judges gave Zepeda no credit for throwing body shots. That was the difference in the fight. They focused only on Stevenson’s head shots, which were barely and far exceeded by the body that beat Zepeda.
Many lucky Shakur has had a great fight. Shakur gave the fans they wanted to see, and he is now more respected than ever. And respect for Zepeda. He has a bright future and has proven to be a dangerous fighter. 🥊⭐️🔥 pic.twitter.com/37vxvz3znx
