In golf equipment, there is a stigma that forged irons are reserved only for elite ball hitters who appreciate the workability of a smaller club head and forged feel.

And there just isn’t much feedback out there.

McCormack points out that while feel and sound preferences are different for every player, most will still prefer the feel of a forged product.

“It’s going to give you the forged feel with a club that’s been injected with some kind of material to help you keep the same ball speeds, keep the same distances, all those kinds of things,” he said. “So if you miss the putt, instead of being 15, 20 yards like you might be with a forged iron, you’re going to be maybe five yards.”
